Well Good Afternoon fellow bloggers.
So I woke up this morning with the burning desire to listen to the, "Across the Universe" Soundtrack and listen to the many Beatles' song renditions.
A lot of those singers actually did a pretty decent job singing those songs and giving new modern swings to them. However, nothing really does beat the classic Beatles song.
Finally moved into my apartment and I love my suite-mates.
The four of us pretty much make up an apartment that isn't just completely levelheaded, but also one that has a lot of patience and comfort. Everyone is really all about making our living situation as relaxed and fun as possible and of course I'm pro-relaxation.
This year is going to be pretty much a fantastic year (:
New finds:
Electric Owls - Band that kinda sounds like a mix of Badly Drawn Boy and a twist of The Shins. Definitely a unique sounds and highly recommended for the new Indie/College music scene.

This weekend was something just so incredibly unforgettable.
Friday started off with waking up at 7:45 in the morning with a total rush of excitement knowing that I in fact was going to have one of the most amazing weekends anyone can ever experience.
Friday afternoon my friends and I showed up at my sister's apartment and so our Dave Matthews excursion began.
Friday night was incredible in the aspects of dancing, drinking, singing, and meeting with a bunch of old friends and having a great time. The entire band was feeling it and was jamming to an extent higher than any ordinary session. All us wearing tie-dye, birkenstocks, no makeup, totally natural. This weekend I knew was going to be an out of body experience.
Saturday was something that I didn't even expect though. They say that usually if a band decides to play two nights in a row, the myth is that the second night is supposedly the magical night. I am living proof to agree with the fact that Dave Matthews' performance on Saturday night will be something I wouldn't be able to erase from my memory even if I tried my hardest. Everything was just so incredibly right and everything felt so much like an utopia.
No cares or worries, you just danced and sang with your eyes closed. No one judged you.
No one cared. No one there to just sit and have youth flash by. It was a place where I felt so incredibly at home.
Sunday night was the kicker. Brandon Boyd was coming to Miami, Florida and I was seeing him. A band that I've listened to since 5th grade and have had the most ridiculous pre-teen obsession with. Incubus performed as usual, to their up most potential, and of course left me tearing up while he sang Drive acoustically and left me dancing like a fool to Are You In. The venue unfortunately didn't give a very good compliment to Ben's bass, Mike's guitar, or Brandon's voice.....but it was still one of the most magical moments this summer.
It takes three days of live music to realize something.
Music has more than just the ability to relate to someone, but it can make or break a person.
It can change a person's mind. It can change a lifestyle. It can make an impact when the lyrics don't have to be direct. Most importantly, good music doesn't even have to have lyrics. It could just really be the beautiful sounds of everything coming together that can make a depressed person turn into someone full of love or hope.
Music isn't just a form of artistic ability.
It's the way of life.
Batting Cages with Ryan Kurtz and Zach Schwartzman tomorrow afternoon.
Julia Piantini Best Friend photoshoot tomorrow night.
Michael Burke help me pack everything Wednesday afternoon.
Last family dinner till Thanksgiving Wednesday night.
Thursday is sweet farewell to the 305 and the sandy beaches.
Back at Elon on Friday afternoon (:

I decided what my blog should be about! But check it, it really no longer is going to be a blogging sort of deal. Much rather, its a spot I've been offered by my dear friend Laura to become a writer for her website (:
Music is what I was told to write about.
How stellar is that? Words are in no comparison.
Concert weekend debacle starts tomorrow night with the very amazing strum of Dave Matthews with him hopefully opening up with a song from their old albums.
And then the following night the same, except probably a better show.
And lastly Incubus on Sunday. Probably the highlight of my entire year.
Things are finally turning out to be pretty decent. I go back up to school next Thursday and I'm planning already a bunch of things with my mom and roommates. It is most certainly going to be one of those college years in which I'm going to endorse it for everything I've got and make sure the experience is just as amazing.
Summer has been alright. Played my last softball tournament ever and ended with a head dive to home plate to win the game. Not a bad way to end the softball chapter in my life. I know I'm probably going to miss it tremendously, but it really is just something that I can't believe I did for such a long time. It's going to pay off in the end when I'm a 40 year old mother and I can toss a ball farther then my son, that's for sure.
Song that I found via iTunes. Really good I think. The melody is absoluelty addicting and you can't help but wanting to sing a long.
Concert updates will be following later.
Have a great weekend everyone, I know I will (:

I've become rather inspired today fellow bloggers. After seeing the movie, "Julie and Julia" I have become totally inept to my blogging attention and seem like I haven't been doing my best in really captivating what my blog is or should be about. Of course I can sit here for hours on end and talk about my life and how things could be better, but how does that change someone else? How can I make that difference in someone's life as they read possibly my sob story or my interesting thought for the day.
No longer do I want to make this a blog with no base, but rather something that people could look up and look forward to reading.
I want to make myself an ultimatum. A goal in which any ordinary college student with no time on their hands could probably handle, but I think it could be miraculously done.
It would be fairly obvious to say that I, Alaina Zuniga, will cook Julia Child's cook book, but hey, lets not be too adventacious. Which is when I say that I am considering another approach.
I shall either have a challenge having to do with music or photography.
I'm going to brainstorm the night away and come back with an answer in the morning.
This is going to be something great, but something that I'm looking extremely forward to.
Goodnight Goodnight Goodnight

Back from O-Town and lemme tell you, it sucked so bad it was ridiculous. I seriously should've just ended softball last summer and etc etc. My dumb mistake for picking it up one more time.
But its alright considering I plan on coaching next year and I already have players that want me to be they're coach (:
We'll just have to see how that goes really.
This weekend is probably the most excited I am going to be this entire summer.
Dave Matthews and Incubus in a 3 day span. That's pretty much a 72 hour orgasm.
I seriously cannot wait to get back to Elon. Moving in on August 21st and I cannot wait to see my lovelies (Celeste/Lauren/Laura) We are without a doubt going to be the most dangerous/amazing/spontaneous apartment.
Blog post was really just an update on life, I have a more mind boggoling one that will probably be written in the next couple of days. Really depends on how well my mother tweaks me in regards to my studies and the urgency of switching colleges. Uy Vey
For now though, I've been jamming to this one on the beach a lot.
